2026
The rules change
A new Law on Foreigners starts on 1 November 2026.
Armenia is moving every residence application to one online platform. Files sent before that date follow the old rules, and cards that are valid on that date stay valid until they end.
A temporary card is still for up to one year, but it can no longer be extended. You apply again.
Founders and directors of foreign-owned companies lose their exemption. They need a permission to stay for employment.
No new ten-year special residence. Ethnic Armenians move to the permanent residence route.
Five ways in. One fits you best.
Pick the route that sounds like you. Each one asks for different proof, so the choice comes first.
A job in Armenia is the most common way in.
Most foreigners who received temporary residence in the first half of 2026 did it through work. Your employer files part of the case. We prepare your side and check that the contract matches what the migration service expects.
